Visit from Bradford on Avon Sailing Club

Wimbleball SC welcomed 6 visiting boats from Bradford on Avon SC over the August bank holiday weekend. The visit coincided with the Ironman triathlon event also being held at the lake - both activities provided an enjoyable weekend of sport. Despite some heavy late summer rain showers, 5 club races were held on the Sunday and Monday. Racing was close and a BBQ provided welcome refreshment between races. 

Our thanks to Bradford on Avon for making the effort to travel and we look forward to a reciprocal visit in the future. A hugely enjoyable weekend - many thanks to all our club volunteers.

(A note of recognition to the triathletes who competed all weekend especially on the Sunday - starting the swim at 6.30am and some finishing the marathon approaching midnight in heavy rain - kudos!)
